Unfenced helps people research relocation, residency and settlement options. This policy explains the personal information the service processes and the choices available to you.
Information we process
- Account and contact details, including your name, email address and verified mobile number.
- Assessment answers, including citizenship, family situation, income ranges, savings, priorities and relocation preferences.
- Saved countries, comparison choices, planning progress, resident details and community contributions.
- Subscription and purchase status. Stripe processes payment-card information; Unfenced does not store complete card details.
- Security and operational information such as sign-in events, device/browser information, error logs and fraud-prevention signals.
How we use information
- Provide personalized country recommendations and requested reports.
- Verify accounts, maintain access controls and protect the service from abuse.
- Operate subscriptions, send transactional communications and respond to support requests.
- Improve reliability and understand aggregated product usage.
- Meet legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations.
Service providers and international transfers
Unfenced may use Vercel for hosting, Supabase for authentication and databases, an approved SMS provider for verification, Stripe for payments, Resend for email and OpenAI for assistant responses. Information sent to the assistant may include your assessment context and selected destinations, but payment credentials and identity documents are not included. These providers may process information in other countries under their own safeguards and agreements.
Storage and retention
Some planning, document-checklist and residency information may be stored only in your browser and will not follow you to another device. Account records are retained while your account is active and afterward only as needed for legal, security, backup and dispute purposes. You should not upload passport scans, medical records or other highly sensitive documents unless the product explicitly introduces a secure upload feature.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may complain to a data-protection authority. You may also cancel marketing communications while continuing to receive essential account and purchase messages. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed.
Children and security
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. Unfenced uses access controls, encryption provided by its infrastructure and least-privilege database policies, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
Policy changes
Material changes will be identified by a revised date and, when appropriate, an in-product or email notice.
